INNOVATIVE WORK*5KINGDOM CLASSIFICATION

        Innovative work

Introduction

An  innovative work can be defined as a new idea, device or method. It is something original and more effective and as a consequence new that breaks into the pupils. Two interesting dimensions of innovation including degree of novelty and type of in vation . One active work should be a catalyst to growth. Innovation may be linked to positive changes in efficiency, productivity, quality, comprehensiveness and intellectual development. Through innovative work the teacher can improve students performance by providing group work opportunities and resources to innovate. It is necessary to create and nurture an environment of innovation.

Topic chosen for making innovative work

         As a part of my teaching practice phase I adopted an innovating work based on the eighth standard chapter WHY CLASSIFICATION.From this chapter the topic was choosen as Five Kingdom classification by R H Whittaker. It was a puzzle game. All the students co-operate with this. Students are very active and interested to learn five Kingdom classification through this puzzle game.

PROCEDURE OF MY INNOVATIVE WORK

              All organisms included in all the five kingdoms are arranged in a puzzle. Then all the students were divided into two groups and each of these groups are compete in a starting game and this game was named as know down , the winner of this game was gave first chance to correct the puzzle and identify the organism they arranged. After identifying this organism they got a chance to read the hint on a pouch. After reading this hint they get an idea about the organisms their characteristics and included kingdoms.Then this group was introduce their identified organisms and their features and kingdoms to all members. And then the chance was gaven to the second group. This process was repeated until they identify all the five kingdoms proposed by R H Whittaker.

16/01/2024°°°°Tuesday

on the 40th day of teaching practice I had reached at 9:30 am. Today I had a class on 8A and I take a new lesson on the topic Ex-situ conservation. This content was taught with the help of ICT. Through the use of  slide presentation all the Ex-situ conservation methods are easily understood by students. Students are actively participated in all the activities. 

17/01/2024°°°°Wednesday

On the 41 th day of teaching practice i had reached at 9:30 am. All the lessons are completed but as  part of general work we are conducting an awareness class and a poster making competition on the title liquid and solid waste management on 1st and 2nd period. Then the 4th period I got a substitution class on 9A.

18/01/2024°°°Thursday

On the 42 nd day of teaching practice I had reached at 9:30 am. I got a substitution class on 9A on the first period. 3rd and 4th period I got substitution on 9c , 5th period on 9B. Then i got a chance to complete biology worksheet on 10B on 6th period. On that day the school was conducted an awareness class on YIP programme for all the 8th & 9th standard students.After 4pm i got a chance to get an exam duty on 10C . Then after 5 pm left from the school.





19/01/2024°°°° Friday

On the last day of teaching practice I had reached at sharp 9:30 am. Today the school was conducted a special assembly for appreciating the winners of kalolsavam. After that we are announcing the winners of poster making competition and gifts were provided for 1st 2nd and 3rd places.

8/01/2024°°° MONDAY

on the 35th day of teaching practice I had reached at sharp 9:30 am. Today I got a 1st & 2nd period on 9A & 8A. On the first period I take a new lesson on the topic Skeleton outside the muscle. With the help of teaching aid and charts this content was taught very easily.All the students gave attention.on the second period I had a class on 8A.on that period I dectate notes on the previously learned portions. Today the nss volunteers of Government college nedumangad was donated around 300 books for this school. As a part of that the school was decided to inaugurate an open library for both students and parents.

09/01/24°°° Tuesday

On the 36th day of teaching practice I had reached at correct time then had an observation class on first period on 9A. Today I take a new lesson on the topic Locomotion without skeleton.This class was observed by my optional teacher Dr.sindhu IP. Teacher gave positive response and said that the teaching aids and models were used are very attractive and aesthetic.This reinforcement strengthens my confidence and teaching aptitude.





On the same day  the physical education sir was come to my school for observing Health and Yoga class. Then i take health lesson on the topic obesity and yoga. I take new asana with the name is vrikshasana on 3rd period on 8A. Then after lunch break I had no class on that day. This day was end with extreme happiness.

10/01/2024 °°°° Wednesday 

On the 37th day of teaching practice I had reached at sharp 9:30 am. Today I had a class on 8A. As a part of my bed curriculum an innovative work must  prepared and present on any of the concerned class. So I decided to make an innovative work on the topic Five Kingdom classification by R H Whittaker. This Innovative work aimed to present this content through a puzzle game. On the 38 th day of teaching practice I had reached at sharp 9:30 am. Today I had a class on 8A on second period. I taught a new lesson on the topic if protected these too through ICT. with the help of slides all the organism and their importance are easily learned by students.slide presentation was very useful to me and students to easily understood the content. Students are actively participated on all the activities. 


12/11/2024°°°° Friday 

On the 39th day of teaching practice I had reached at sharp 9:30am. Today I had a class on 9A and i conducted an achievement test. All the students are participated on the test and the the paper was collected. After lunch break , fifth period I had a class on 8A and i taught a new lesson on the topic In-situ conservation through ICT. Through slide presentation all the In-situ conservation methods are easily transferred to students. And they are very active throughout the class. They participated in all the activities.Today the school was conducted a kid fest on the name entitled as 'kunjikilikal' . This was an amazing programme I ever seen. Littile butterflies are perform aesthetically.
